You may have heard this phrase before: “Random Act of Kindness”. But I wanted to quickly share something with you. If you exercise random acts of kindness already, then you know that the primary beneficiary of that act is really YOU. No matter how small or large the act may be. When you reach out and touch someone’s life by a random act of kindness, you not only are helping someone(s) in need, in that particular time and place, but you are validating your own self-worth that goes beyond monetary values and measurements. It always has a profound effect on both parties, but it leaves something in your soul, or psyche if you prefer that resonates with you. An affirmation, that we are all connected to one another. I like to call it, purifying your spirit as in my experience that is exactly what it does.
So, the next time you are out and about try this “Random act of Kindness” and you will see that not only you have helped someone in need, but you have reinforced and invested in your integrity and self-confidence. It doesn’t matter how big or small the act is. As long as it helps someone out of their current situation. Whatever that may be, and however small that may be.
Believe me that the world would be a better place if everyone practiced “Random Act of Kindness”, and no one would feel alone and isolated.
